Crogin Gaming Network

How CGN checks information

CGN is an independent, fan-made network of game guides. This page explains where the facts come from, how guides mark what is confirmed and what isn't, and how corrections work. It applies to every CGN site.

Sources

Official developer and publisher material comes first: patch notes, news posts, documentation and store pages. Details the developers don't publish can come from testing in the game or from well-established game-data references, and are labeled that way.

Labels

Where it matters, guides say what kind of information you're reading:

Official
Stated by the developer or publisher.
Game data
Seen in the game or taken from game files, with the version it applies to.
CGN recommendation
Advice from the guide, with the reasons given.
Field note
A practical tip from playing.
Community finding
Something players worked out, credited as such.
Theory
A guess, never presented as fact.

Dates and versions

Guides show when they were last checked and, where it matters, which patch, season or beta build they cover. An old check date means the information may be out of date; it is not treated as still correct.

Unreleased games

For games that aren't out yet, guides separate what has been announced from what is still unknown. Missing details are left as unknown rather than filled in.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, email crogingaming@gmail.com with the page and, if you can, a link to the correct information. Guides are updated when a new patch, a better source or in-game testing shows they are wrong or out of date.

Independence

CGN is not affiliated with the developers or publishers of the games it covers. Game names, official artwork and related properties belong to their owners.
