Free play weekend
- ARC Raiders is free to play on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation from October 8 at 09:00 UTC to October 12 at 08:00 UTC, the same time Frozen Trail launches.
- You get the full game. New players can reach the new map, Pendola Pass, by teaming up with players who have already unlocked it.
- You need an Embark ID account (13 or older), a platform account and acceptance of the Embark Terms of Service. The announcement says nothing about discounts or what happens to your progress afterwards.

Fair play: what Embark said
- Permanent bans are now standard for all known cheat programs, with no warnings. Licenses tied to banned copies are restricted, and accounts linked to a banned copy are banned too.
- Embark lowered the threshold for hardware bans and is working to widen them later in 2026.
- Embark reports that five days after it detected queue teaming, 85% fewer players were doing it, and spoiled raids fell from about 1 in 50 to 1 in 300 with no meaningful effect on queue times.
- It is testing the Elytra anti-cheat system in THE FINALS and plans to test it in ARC Raiders.
What's in Frozen Trail
- New map, Pendola Pass, and the Frigate, a boardable ARC vessel. Maps
- New ARC: the Bully, the Skulker and the Hydra turret. Machines
- The Outpost, a Raider Den extension with a Research Workstation that unlocks amplified weapons (a fifth quality level for 15 guns). Workshop
- New gear: the Stiletto rifle, the Bantam revolver, the Grappling Hook, the Tether Launcher, the Yank Grenade, a Camera and Weapon Stencils. Gear
- Progression: a skill tree rework, new questlines, a new map condition, and the Reward Pass (Free, Premium, and a free Legacy Pass that keeps your Raider Deck progress). Progression
The PvE toggle test
- Switch between normal PvPvE and PvE-only sessions with no player damage. Solos, duos and trios can share a PvE session.
- PvE loot is worth less overall, and PvPvE gets slightly better baseline loot during the test to balance it out. Your PvPvE matchmaking rating isn't affected.
- Night Raids, Hidden Bunker, Locked Gate and the Frigate are excluded from PvE.
- The toggle is removed after the test. Embark calls it a serious look at PvE, not a promise.
