WORKSHOP

Craft With a Purpose

Do not burn rare materials just because a recipe is available. Upgrade what supports the runs you are actually doing.

WORKSHOP

Recycling

Items you do not need can still be progression. Learn which materials your next Workshop upgrades require before recycling or selling everything.

WORKSHOP

Upgrade Priorities

Storage, dependable gear access and the stations that support your preferred equipment generally provide more value than scattered upgrades.

WORKSHOP

Before Topside

Repair, restock, check quest requirements, empty unnecessary inventory and confirm your extraction objective before launching.

CRAFTING INTELLIGENCE

Blueprints

Find the blueprint, get it home, then it becomes a permanent recipe unlock.

BLUEPRINT

Where to look

Weapon and gun-part blueprints generally favor Raider containers; medical recipes favor Medical containers; utilities favor Electrical containers; explosives favor Industrial containers.

BLUEPRINT

Other sources

Some blueprints are quest rewards. Scavenging-pool blueprints can also appear as Trial rewards, and Surveyors may drop blueprints.

BLUEPRINT

Major conditions

Rare and Epic blueprint finds are more common during x2 Major Map Conditions. If blueprint hunting is the goal, conditions can matter as much as the map.
