Controller and accessibility
Controller support
Controller buttons as keys, button hints and a window you can drive with a controller.
Controller support is in beta. It has not been tested with a real controller yet. /crb pad shows what the game reports about yours, which helps when you report a problem.
WoW: Forever has built-in controller support. CRB works with it as one more way to play, not a replacement: keyboard, mouse and controller can be used together or one at a time, with the same recommendations. The settings are under Control Center, then Controller.
Controller buttons as keys
Wherever CRB asks for a key (the heal keys, for example), click the box and press a controller button instead. A spell can have a keyboard key and a controller button at the same time. A combination such as LT + A works when a controller button is set to act as Shift, Ctrl or Alt. That is a game setting (by default the left trigger is Shift and the left bumper is Ctrl), and Controller, then Controller modifiers lets you change it.
Button hints on the card
The card shows the button you would press, for example A or LT+X, instead of a keyboard key. Input display can be Auto, Keyboard and mouse, or Controller. Auto follows the input you used last and waits a moment before switching, so the hints do not flicker. The labels follow your controller (A B X Y, or Cross Circle Square Triangle, or Button 1 2 3 4). The button size can be made larger.
Buttons are drawn as small pictures (CRB's own generic ones, not any manufacturer's) where one matches your controller, and as words otherwise. Show button pictures on the Controller page turns the pictures off.
Driving the window with a controller
Turn on Controller navigation. Controls get larger, a coloured frame shows where you are, the D-pad moves, the confirm button presses and the back button steps out. The shoulder buttons switch pages, and left and right step a slider. The four buttons (confirm, back, previous page, next page) are yours to choose. While the window is open, its buttons are used for the window, not for the game.
Vibration and the accessibility preset
Vibration is off by default and only offered if the game gives addons vibration. It gives one short pulse when a heal turns critical. Accessibility - Controller is a preset on the Profiles and Accessibility pages: button hints and navigation on, larger controls and text, and a big key badge. Every choice stays yours to change.
Limits
A controller button is a binding like any key. CRB prepares it out of combat and never changes it in combat, and a change made in combat waits until combat ends. CRB never presses a button for you.
