Where 4-star gear comes from
Official sources, Sep 2026
| Source | What drops | How to get there |
|---|---|---|
| Gleaming Depths raid | 4-star weapons, armor and mods, including the melee-only Charged mod | Four-player raid under the Ash Heap, five encounters, no time lockout |
| Infestation bosses | A guaranteed 4-star weapon or armor piece from the boss, plus Infestation-only 4-star mods such as Vector and Tarnished | Found by exploring six Appalachian regions; a public team helps |
| Bigfoot | A chance at a 4-star item with the Thrillseeker mod | Can appear at the end of some public events |
| Scrapping 4-star items | A chance at a loose 4-star mod or its recipe | Scrap 4-star items you won't use; loose mods can be traded |
