Using CRB
Smart Healing and the Healing Radar
How healer builds choose a heal and rank who needs one first.
Healer builds do two things: they show a heal for the ally you select, and they can show a Healing Radar that ranks who is hurt. Neither one targets or heals for you.
Smart Healing
CRB looks at your selected player (or your mouseover, if you choose that) and weighs readable health, role, your heals over time and absorbs, cooldowns, range and the spells you actually know. It sorts the ally into one of four health tiers (Critical, In danger, Hurt and Slightly hurt) and offers the first spell in that tier's list that you can use. Each tier has its own list, so the spells on offer change with how hurt the ally is.
The tier thresholds are adjustable. CRB can also say HOLD when nobody needs a heal, so you save mana. The tier lists for each healing spec are on the class pages.
Hybrid targeting
A Restoration character still gets damage recommendations for enemies. Enemy selected means damage, friendly selected means heal. Normal Target mode follows the target you clicked. Mouseover mode can intentionally let a friendly mouseover win over an enemy target.
Healing Radar
The radar ("HEAL FIRST") ranks hurt group members. It has three modes:
- Smart: hidden while solo or fighting an enemy, shown when grouped and healing.
- Always: always available for healer builds.
- Off: never shown.
It shrinks to one line ("Group stable") when everyone is healthy, and says "Health protected" instead of guessing when Forever hides health values. A tank gets only a small bonus, so a dying damage dealer still outranks a healthy tank. The radar is informational.
Heal keys
You can give each healing spell its own key (or controller button). These are optional and off by default. Each is a fixed-spell secure binding, so a key always casts its own spell and CRB never changes it in combat. See Keybinds.
