Using CRB
Keybinds
Set keys for CRB's heal keys and understand what a key can and cannot change.
Open Control Center, then Keybinds. Click a key box, then press the key. Shift, Ctrl and Alt combinations and mouse buttons 3, 4 and 5 work. The editor shows conflicts, lets you clear a key, and can save named key sets.
What a CRB key is
CRB's heal keys are off by default and have no default keys. When you turn them on, each key is a Blizzard secure fixed-spell binding:
- a key always casts the spell you gave it;
- CRB may recommend a different spell, but it never changes what a key does in combat;
- binding changes made in combat are saved and applied when combat ends.
That is why the card can show a key next to a recommendation, but a key cannot follow the recommendation around by itself. You press the key of the spell the card shows, and CRB never presses it for you. The same goes for Sequence Mode.
Keyboard, mouse and controller together
A spell can have a keyboard or mouse key and a controller button at the same time. The second list on the Keybinds page is for the controller button. Both are real secure bindings. See Controller support.
Typing a key instead of pressing it
If pressing a combination is awkward, you can type a heal key, for example SHIFT-F. Keys are stored in the game's ALT-CTRL-SHIFT order.
If a key does nothing
Check for conflicts in the editor, leave combat so pending changes apply, and see the troubleshooting entry.
