Where to buy, refunds and region rules
Rockstar lists three storefronts plus select retailers: the PlayStation Store ↗, the Xbox Store ↗ and the Rockstar Store ↗. Availability differs by country, and Rockstar says more countries will be added as platform policy, regulation and age ratings allow.
For a pre-order problem, Rockstar points to the store that took the order: PlayStation or Xbox support for digital copies, Xsolla for physical copies bought at the Rockstar Store, and the retailer for anything bought elsewhere. Rockstar's pre-order support answers ↗
PlayStation codes only work on accounts from the matching region, and PlayStation codes bought in Japan expire 170 days after November 19, 2026. Xbox codes are not region-locked. Rockstar recommends buying from a store in the country of your platform account. The full region list ↗
Both store listings flag optional in-game purchases. Rockstar has not said what they are.
