Controller and accessibility

Accessibility options

Large text, high contrast, colour-vision palettes, reduced motion and more.

CRB treats accessibility as part of the product. Colour is never the only signal on the card: words and symbols always say the same thing. These options are in Control Center, then Accessibility.

See it more easily

  • Text size from 80% to 200%, with an optional text outline and a large-text mode.
  • High contrast, as a setting and as a theme.
  • Three colour-vision palettes: red-green safe, blue-yellow safe and greyscale.
  • Reduced motion.
  • Large key badge on the card.
  • A shape marker, so the click-cast highlight never depends on colour.
  • Visible keybind hints: the card shows the key you assigned beside the recommendation.
  • Detail you choose: Simple shows the big spell and its key, Smart adds why and what is next, and Learning adds the full reason. See Understanding the card.

Hear it

  • An optional alert sound for critical heals.
  • Optional spoken cues, using the game's own text-to-speech where the client has it.
  • Ability error sounds: Muted turns off only the spoken "not ready yet" and "out of range" lines of your character, which pile up when you press a key fast. Normal puts back what you had.

Control it your way

  • Place the card and the click-cast bar with numbers and nudge buttons instead of dragging.
  • Type a heal key (for example SHIFT-F) instead of pressing a combination.
  • Controller buttons as keys and a window you can drive with a controller. See Controller support.
  • Lock the Control Center size, or reset it.

Quick setups

Large text, Low vision, Calm and simple, Easy clicking and Minimal HUD each change several settings at once. There is also an Accessibility preset with large text, and an Accessibility - Controller preset. Everything stays yours to change.

What CRB does not do

CRB does not press keys for you, and it does not play your character. It shows a clear recommendation, and you press your usual ability key or click it. The options above change how the recommendation looks, how large it is and how much detail comes with it, not who does the playing. See how CRB stays within the game's rules.
