Get started
Install and first-time setup
From the ZIP to a card on your screen, and the first few settings worth a look.
CRB has not been publicly released. It is in development and private testing, so there is nothing to download yet. This page describes how it will work once it is released.
Install
The steps are the same as on the release status page. In short, extract the CroginRotationBuddy_Forever folder into _classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\ so the final path ends with _classic_beta_\Interface\AddOns\CroginRotationBuddy_Forever\, then start the game.
Open it
- Log in with any character. Click the minimap button or type
/crbto open the Control Center. - Target an enemy. CRB shows your damage spell. Target a friendly player on a healer build and it switches to healing. With no target it asks you to pick one.
- Drag the card where you want it. Resize it from the lower-right corner. Right-click the card to open its settings.
What CRB works out for you
- Your class, automatically.
- Levels 1 to 9: one leveling profile for the class.
- From level 10: it reads your talent points and uses the lists for your main tree. Hybrid builds use the talents you have learned to pick the most useful profile.
- Every recommendation is filtered against spells you have actually learned.
There is no normal spec picker. A spec override exists under Advanced for testing only.
Three settings worth a look first
- Detail level. Simple shows only the spell and its key, Smart adds the reason and what is next, and Learning shows everything. Smart is the default. See Understanding the card.
- Keybinds. CRB's heal keys are off by default and have no default keys. See Keybinds.
- Size and text. Control Center has Appearance and Layout pages, plus quick setups like Large text and Minimal HUD. See Customizing the card.
CRB recommends and you press. Rules are marked Testing until they have been checked in the game, so if something looks off, the troubleshooting page shows how to find out why.
