Class · Vessel of Hatred
Spiritborn
Martial artist channeling four spirit guardians. Resource: Vigor. Core stat: Dexterity. Requires Vessel of Hatred.
Archetypes
The main ways this class is built today.
Quill Volley
Ranged quills; with the Rod of Kepeleke it becomes a resource-free basic attack.
Stinger and Thorns
Poison bomb or lightning Stinger builds and counterattack or thorns builds.
Withering Fist and Touch of Death
Poison-heavy melee that heals through a stack of sources.
Crushing Hand and Rock Splitter
Gorilla-style heavy hitters.
Strengths
- Several builds are near the top of push and boss lists, notably Stinger and Counterswarm.
- Stinger is rated very well for leveling.
- Vessel of Hatred is included with any Lord of Hatred purchase.
Trade-offs
- Top builds depend on particular Uniques such as the Rod of Kepeleke.
- Sources disagree on which Spiritborn builds lead: Icy Veins lists Swarm, Withering Fist and Quill Volley highest, Maxroll lists Stinger and Counterswarm.
Season 15 and patch 3.2.1
Blizzard's own notes are marked Patch; community reports are marked Meta.
- Patch Blizzard's note: a bug with the Tzic rune that gave a huge damage bonus was fixed and Aspect of Supremacy's maximum stacks were reduced; to offset that, Paragon boards, Core skills, Potency skills and Unique weapons were significantly buffed, and Thorns builds got fixes.
- Patch A new Paragon board, Swarm of Storms, was added.
Legacy Unique usable by the Spiritborn: Arioc's Needle (two-handed polearm), plus the four every-class Uniques. In-Geom is not available to the Spiritborn.
Uniques Blizzard changed in 3.2.1
Sunbird's Gorget, Sepazontec, Rod of Kepeleke, Sunstained War-crozier, Wushe Nak Pa. These are the Unique items listed for this class in the patch notes, not a ranking. Patch
